 I??�ve had this ????73??� FJ-40 since 1989,, painted it lime green in 1990 and has been that color ever since. It??�s not a great paint job (my first) in fact I??�m sure you can see a few runs in couple places, it was painted over the original color which you can see under the hood pic. It has been parked in garage all these 30 years assure you of that.  Never outdoors except to show-off around town once month or so.  I made my best effort pointing out the most distressed and corroded spots on the body and frame itself.  Mechanically however, have spent many hours on it over the years. The original 1F motor has been rebuilt from the top of the block up, and the bottom of the block down.   Transmission and transfer case have been rebuilt and re-sealed but that was 20 years ago. Both drive shafts have been rebuilt and balanced.   have installed electric cooling fans, electronic ignition, 125 amp alternator, (no mo generator) master brake cylinder, four new brake drums & shoes, all brake wheel cylinders, Front wheel hub bearing assembly??�s, one of the locking lug assemblies, gas tank, and I??�ve also added power steering which made this vehicle so much more pleasant to drive.  I installed an 8000 lb Warn Winch which is fully functional. And recently installed the Powder Coated front bumper. Two of the pics on this auction show the vehicle with an older style front bumper and bigger tires.  Those two items are no longer on the vehicle.  Brand new Fox Shox were installed recently all the way around.  I also got little creative with some dash indicator lights and overhead map lights (cockpit lights) that are actually from aircraft.  This vehicle has CB radio with seven foot whip antenna & kick-ass sound system that includes a ten CD player and speaker boom box (not shown) which is must when cruising in vehicle as cool as this one. And lastly, have done shackle-reversal to the front suspension, added grease-able shackles as well as added an additional leafspring left and right.Let??�s talk about the wheels and tires. The wheels are re-conditioned American Vectors size 15???x 8.5???  that have been powder coated black and clear-coated over the whole wheel.   purchased them about three years ago. About year later purchased the Goodyear Kevlar MT/R 31-10.50 15LT.   Both wheels and tires easily have less than 1000 miles on them. I??�m including pair of half-doors, pair of full canvas doors with latches, Best-Top canvas full-top with frame support, and bikini top.
